Florence

Ponte Vecchio

Not sure how many of these you can make, but try for it all! Try to make reservations if you can because the sit down places all get booked.

Restaurants:

Trattoria 4 Leoni - go here and have the pear ravioli, it is fantastic. Right by the boboli gardens.  Bonus: it is on the street I lived on!

Acqua al Due - get the steak sampler or just choose one. A little pricey compared to some other places but delicious

Trattoria Zaza- near il mercato centrale, always had a good meal here. I remember especially liking the pasta with pesto

Osteria Santo Spirito - love this place. Such delicious food, very casual vibes in a beautiful piazza. Go there!

La Giostra- considered real fine dining of Florence, definitely costs a bit but delicious fancy food if you wanna splurge

Panini:

Pino's - great sandwiches, great man (Pino) behind the counter.

Antico vanaio - cheap and literally the size of your head - beware the extremely long line, may no longer be worth getting now that they've expanded to NYC, as well

Beer:

Kikuya- go grab a pint of dragoon, you will enjoy

Gelato:

Eduardo: a MUST. No questions, get the pistachio . I ate this literally every day. It's right next to the duomo (Beyoncé loves it too)

Honorable mentions: gelateria dei Neri, gelateria Santa Trinita

Note: Gusta pizza is loved by tourists, I personally think it tastes just like anything you've had in America. Don't bother

Ps. If you are out late at night, find a secret bakery and order a croissant (un cornetto) !
